A Fashionista Birthday

Well Shopaholic,

My recommendation will always be the Tods D bag. Its stylish, leather, classy and most important it can be wear casually or for social fine and dine...and Prince Diana swear by it, followed by Kate Middleton of course...:)

But I really think that this time you will need to get other colour than black, I guess u have too many black bags...why not a D bag in these colours :-

They will look good on you...believe me...:) This bold colour should be worn with monotone colors...which u have a lot..it will pop out the colors and make you  look outstanding...:) So is this gonna be your birthday present from hubby this year??

And talk about birthday, I haven't decided yet where we should celebrate this year. As  you know, I am very particular in choosing the best venue..but last year was awesome right??

We had a exclusive room for the party, nice fusion foods, nice decors, loads of great pics..etc..:)

So as usual, this year, a birthday party for a fashionista should consist the followings :-

1-Posh ambiance and nice decorations
2-Great foods, not the normal foods that we had on Friday night at Ben's or Michaelangelo..
3-Good lighting for nice camwhore moments
4-Nice background music that still allow you to speak to your friends
5-Full with beautiful dressed well people
6-Smoking area...with white ashtray...
7- Have a chill out space with great music so we can hangout after that, chillin and sippin...
8-Mirrors, mirrors, mirrors...
9-Exclusivity...:)

So where is the next venue for next month? Hmmmm...I have one on my mind right now...will make a decision later this week...:)

Oh yeah, and what I want for my birthday?? Ohh ...don't u dare ask!!!..hahahah. But perhaps ill buy these to reward myself...if possible...:)

 Chanel Messenger in Caviar Leather
Celine Cabas SS2011 in Black Leather
 Bally Rosella Leather Clutch

Well, hopefully we can get one of these in our trip this year ya??

Come back to the real world, I got to go now...need to continue doing my research for the annual trip, our trip, annual dinner blablablabla....(grunts)

Its not easy task to be a Ms. Shopaholic

It's spring, and 2011 is almost half over. And I can't believe that I have not bought any handbags at all so far this year. Even during my trip to the US, I did not buy anything; I just window shopped. My heart is aching, for how can I be a shopaholic if I have not bought anything?

My closet room has five cupboards full of clothes and one section full of designer handbags but yet I still want more. I feel so alive when I shop . :-)

Being a shopaholic and married is not an easy task. I dont have to elaborate further; I believe all of you know it. Well, my hubby said I can buy another handbag this year. Finally I got the green light and I can't wait to own another new handbag. The feeling of getting a new bag is like a drug, you know, like a buzz and feeling high.

This year I have a few options for handbags and I am in a dilemma. What choice is the best? These are photos of handbags that have caught my eye and I need to fully consider the option which is the best. One and only one :-)

Option 1 : D-Bag from Tod's. Two colors Light Brown or Grey:

or this:

Option 2 : Chanel Black Caviar with gold strap, like this:

ohh my my :-) ohh if I have this, I will be the happiest person in the world.

Option 3 : of course PRADA like this:

and:

and yes... these handbags can easy cost USD1500 and above. If I manage to own all these bags this year, next year I will look like this:

all my money goes for handbags .. hahahah not for FOOD!

And now, Mr. Fashionista might wonder if any of these handbags can be possibly carried by men? Mmm let me tell him that YES YES YES .. of course you CAN. Just look at these photos:

Get the picture, Mr. Fashionista?

Again, back to those options I went over before... if I get tired of thinking of which one is the best and I can't decide fast enough...at the end I will end up having this bag:

Birkin Black Crocodille Leather with Diamond by Hermes : RM770,000 (!)

If I get this Hermes, then whoever wants to look for me can just go to Prince Court Hospital in Kuala Lumpur!

Spring Summer 2011

Welcome back Ms Shopaholic...:)

You look so happy there in US, especially in NY ya? I know its a very very nice country to visit, the culture, buildings, fashion are totally different...its an experience that one cant forget. Happy to know that you managed to travel to US, at last!!

Looking at all those Shopaholic pics remind me that I need to take a break for a while. Well, I am planning, and hopefully will get a break that I deserve soon. But before that, I need to focus and work hard, especially starting in the month of May. I dunno whether I can even breathe again!!

Lets start with the company outings that I have to arrange annually, and then the come the company new fiscal year, a new target to plan, focus and achieve, an annual dinner to organize, and OMG, I nearly forgot!! my birthday party in June!! My god, I don't even remember...wow...I really need a break!!

Well, lets not talk about workloads for a while, I mean, this blog is for me to relax and unwind, to talk about things I like, not things I hate..hahha..but I like my job also, I like my job, I like my job...(repeatedly)

So, yes youre right, Ms Shopaholic did managed to get the the Jack Spade Tote from NY!!! Yeay!!!! Thank you so much Ms Shopaholic, for all the hassle to find Jack Spade boutique in Warren Street New York! You're the best!! (even though we always quarrel about fashion and brands...:))

But the only down side of it was she unable to get me the Red and Grey coloured tote that I want, instead she get me the same design tote but in Blue and Orange!!

At first, when she posted the pic in Facebook, I was totally skeptical I am able to carry this color. I always go for safe and classical color, never in bright color!! She convinced me that the handsome Jack Spade promoter informed her that it is the most famous color of season and I will never regret it...

On the day when she gave me the bag and I tried a few times at home, my love for that color grew day by day..:). And she's right, S/S 2011 is all about Blue, Orange, Green...:)

 PRADA SS2011

 CELINE SS2011

 BURBERRY SS2011

 DIOR SS2011

 LOUIS VUITTON SS2011

 GUCCI SS2011

Isnt that great?? Delicious striking color for Spring Summer 2011...very energetic and bold colors...:)

Oh, totally forgot...and presenting Jack Spade Industrial Canvas Dipped Tote in SS2011

With Reen..the Shopaholic...:)

So, thats about Spring and Summer 2011 and my new tote bag...:). Oh, btw, last week we went to Gucci and the Gucci 500 edition has arrived!! This special limited edition range was being forwarded by the Gucci Creative Director, Frida Giannini.

In celebrations of 150 years of Italian unification and on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the Gucci brand and, Fiat and the Florence-based label present the "500 by Gucci", an important partnership between two brands that have always expressed Italian genius and creativity across the world.

Isn't it gorgeous???!!!! I really fall in love with the Gucci 500 tote...checked and the price is RM3800...thats very very nice....and my brother must get this for me...for a job done for him...hehehe...,

In the mean time, this will do for me...

New York, New York

I have been dreaming to go to New York since I was 7 years old. There were many challenges for me to overcome to get to New York. But in the end after 25 years of waiting and working, I finally made the journey of a lifetime to New York City earlier this year with my American husband :-)

Of course I shared this happiness with my best friend Mr. Fashionista, and he is very happy for me. He has done London and I did New York, which leaves only Paris, Milan and Tokyo for us to cover. Hopefully we can see those places together someday. Pray for us!

Okay, enough of this sweet drama. Let's talk about what I found for us fashion lovers while shopping in the Big Apple. The place for fashion lovers and shopping is 5th Avenue, which is a major street in Manhattan. The section of Fifth Avenue between 49th Street and 60th Street, located in Midtown Manhattan, is lined with every designer shop you can think of and every designer imaginable. It's among the most expensive shopping streets in the world. Mmmmm I love the sound of "expensive". Below are two shots of me on 5th Avenue:

In the below picture, I'm in Times Square. This is another big tourist mecca and shopping district in Midtown Manhattan. Being in Times Square is like being in a giant pinball machine!

Ok, I know I am a bit showing off but hey... its my journey of a lifetime :-).

However as posted earlier by my beloved best friend, about his desire to have a tote bag by a certain American Designer, he asked for my help to get him one. And of course, what are friends for? I went through the hassle that is New York City to find a Jack Spade boutique for my friend, which is on Greene Street in Soho in Manhanttan. Soho is another tony shopping district in Manhattan. As to how to get to Greene Street in NYC, the below picture may give you a clue on how I got there:

The subway is the only way to get around the Big Apple and that's what we did too.

Anyways, after taking a subway and miles of walking, we finally got to the Greene Street. There were so many shops and people and at the same time such beautiful buildings plus a little spring rain :-). We kept walking and finally we found the Jack Spade boutique. Inside the Jack Spade boutique it looks like this:

After asking some questions, and considering what was available, I got something very sexy and chic for Mr. Fashionista. Later on he will show off his new bag to you guys.

New York is definitely for me. I would love to live in New York. The energy there, the excitement, people constantly in motion and striving to realize their dreams, is something that I have never felt before anywhere else. And what else does New York have that I want? Real FREEDOM!
